Hi, I'm Valerie, a Washington elopement photographer.

I truly treasure Washington for its incredible natural beauty. We have ocean beaches, snowy mountain peaks, alpine lakes, and magical rainforests, all in one state.

Washington’s landscape makes it the perfect backdrop for your elopement. I’m so excited to share some of my favorite hidden gems with you and capture your love story in a place that feels unforgettable.

Kind Words from Couples Who Eloped in Washington

Valerie and Pasha are AMAZING! Planning a wedding from the opposite side of the country was no small feat and trying to choose a photographer online was by far the biggest challenge. However, from the moment we reached out, Valerie was incredibly sweet, informative, and gave us so much confidence in our choice to have her photograph our day.

We'd never been to the North Cascades prior to our wedding day (hello gorgeous online photos that made us choose a place we'd never seen in person!) but discussing locations and timelines with Valerie over zoom made the area feel like a second home by the time we finally arrived!

Despite coming to Washington for the mountain views, we did end up getting rained on for most of our wedding day but Valerie and Pasha didn't skip a beat. Between Valerie's amazing adaptability as a photographer and Pasha's fun-loving personality, we barely noticed the downpour.

When we finally got our photos back, we were in love! Valerie perfectly captured the magical, intimate vibe of the day and we couldn't be happier with the results. Don't hesitate to book with her! :)

Valerie and Pasha were a pleasure to work with for our elopement in Olympic National Park. We were going in blind, having never been to Washington at all, and we really appreciated their knowledge of the area to pick our ceremony and photo locations based on what we were looking for.

Not only are the photos absolutely stunning, but looking back, we had so much fun on the day of our elopement thanks to them!! We could not recommend Valerie and Pasha enough!

Why…

Why Washington is the Best Place for Your Elopement

Washington is a the best state to elope for these five reasons:

Stunning Natural Treasures

Check out my photos from the Olympic National Park, Mount Rainier National Park, and the North Cascades. These places truly leave you in awe. Washington State offers countless locations for your adventure elopement, from glaciers and volcanoes to forests and the ocean. You’ll also find lavender fields, apple orchards, charming towns, industrial sites, rustic cabins, and treehouse hotels.

Endless Activities

Whether you want to relax under falling snow, fly in a seaplane, or climb a cliff, you can do it all here. You can embrace the peace and beauty around you on your elopement or choose something more adventurous. You can even combine both during a two-day elopement. Together, we'll choose activities that match your vision and level of intensity.

Unique Locations

Want to capture your big day in a Twin Peaks style? Or visit locations featured in the Twilight series? Absolutely! You can even explore the Thornewood Castle Hotel, known for its ghost stories and for being used in Stephen King's Rose Red. There are also places for your elopement that feel straight out of Game of Thrones or The Lord of the Rings. Let me know if you need help finding the perfect one.

All-Year-Round Availability

This place has it all year round! In winter, you've got ski resorts, mulled wine, and Christmas lights in the Bavarian-style town of Leavenworth. Summer brings amazing mountain hikes, while spring treats you to blooming fields. Fall is spectacular with autumn colors and larches changing their hue. Plus, you can enjoy the ocean, lakes, and rainforests any time of the year!

Famous Cuisine

Washington State is known for its delicious cuisine. Salmon, Dungeness crab, and other seafood are local favorites. The state is also famous for apples, cherries, chocolate, and, of course, coffee! To celebrate your special day, I can help you hire a private chef to prepare local dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
