Pacific Northwest Elopement Photographer

This region is known for its gorgeous, rugged landscapes. With so much open wilderness and fewer crowds, it's perfect for elopements. The ever-changing weather – from fog to rain to snow – only adds to its seasonal charm. I met my husband on one of the PNW's hiking trails, so this region will always hold a special place in my heart.

Why…

Why the Pacific Northwest is the Best Place for Your Elopement

The PNW is the best place to elope for these five reasons:

Beautiful and Diverse Nature

The Pacific Northwest includes Washington and Oregon, both known for their stunning natural beauty. You'll be amazed by how green it is, with countless rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and other water features. The region is also home to impressive mountains that you can see even from the cities.

Plenty of Activities

If you love the outdoors, this region offers endless ways to make your elopement day active and fun. Explore trails in national parks, go rock climbing, fishing, boating, paddleboarding, or kayaking. Winter here is especially magical – you can ski or snowboard, soak in a hot tub, and enjoy the snowy landscape from a cozy wooden cabin.

Magical Elopement Backdrops

Discover charming fishing villages and historic estates. During the summer, visit alpine meadows that bloom in rainbow colors. You will be blown away by turquoise, glacier-fed lakes. And just a few hours from Seattle, you'll find lush rainforests that make elopement photos feel truly enchanting.

Exciting Events

The region hosts many festivals that can add something special to your elopement experience. Since 1926, the Daffodil Festival in Tacoma has celebrated the blooming yellow daffodils, perfect for vibrant spring photos. Skagit Valley fills with stunning tulip fields, and the Sequim-Dungeness Valley bursts with picturesque lavender farms in the summer. Leavenworth transforms throughout the year with events like Oktoberfest and its Christmas Lighting Festival. Oregon also hosts music events and fun gatherings like the Pirates of the Pacific festival.

Well-Developed Elopement Industry

You’ll find everything you need for your big day – private chefs, florists, dress and gear shops, officiants, photographers, and more. If you need help finding vendors, just ask. I’m always happy to recommend trusted local professionals.
